Cleaning barrels

For daily cleaning of barrels in the food sector, LETS developed a specialized solution: the K345FK2. Proven in practice, the washing results can be called excellent. Using this washing machine will save many costly work hours.

Working method

The wash tunnel is divided into two sections: the washing zone and the rinsing zone. In the washing zone the barrels are being rotated. Rotation makes sure that inside and outside are thoroughly cleaned. Equipped with a moving spray arm, the barrel washing machine also reaches the whole surface on the inside of the barrel. In the rinsing zone the barrels are rinsed with clean water by a spraying pipe with nozzles. This zone uses around sixteen litre water per minute. The rinsing water runs through a filter and is used for refilling the water of the washing zone.

Environmental friendly

Using a perforation filter the water is filtered very well before it will be recycled. Recycling the water will save up to 60%. Moreover using a powerful cleaning process the amount of time needed for cleaning is reduced to its minimum, which is also helpful for saving energy.

Movement

The unit is equipped with a triple Stainless Steel chain. After being laid on the conveyor belt the barrels are being moved forward. One can adjust the speed of the chain to desired rpm regarding the pollution on the crates.
The unit is fitted with a special washing track for simultaneously washing lids and barrels.

Temperature

The cleaning temperature of the unit is adjustable from 40 – 65 °C.

Capacity

The K345FK2 has a capacity of washing 250 to 300 barrels per hour, achieved by one person. This is at least three times faster then manual cleaning.
